Horsemanship, child care, teaching, arts, red cross water safety instructor, red cross lifeguard, wilderness first aide, outdoor pursuits and wilderness first responder experience or certifications preferred (and compensated higher) but NOT REQUIRED. Criminal background check will be performed on any applicant. References required.
Orme Ranch Camp is a private coeducational summer camp for children ages 7-16. Located one hour’s drive north of Phoenix in the high desert grasslands of Arizona, we sit at an elevation of 4000 feet (cooler than Phoenix!). We share amazing facilities with The Orme School, a college preparatory boarding school during the school year. The school, in turn, is located within a 26,000 acre working cattle ranch with some of the most spectacular scenery in Arizona.
You’ll be living in a two bedroom/ 1 bath dorm suite or a rustic cabin with up to five kids and participating with them in a wide variety of daily activities: horseback riding, leathercraft, handcrafts, kachina doll carving, swimming and water sports, riflery, archery, outdoor and indoor sports, camping, rappelling and outdoor pursuits. In addition, you’ll explore Native American sites, the Grand Canyon, the red rock country of Sedona, rodeos, the mining town of Jerome, and much more!
