Job Description: Farm Day Camp Counselor Stone Barns is seeking enthusiastic and qualified individuals to teach and lead campers in a summer day camp where campers will participate in garden chores, animal feeding, nature hikes, crafts and cooking. Campers are broken into age related groups and are supervised by one counselor. Counselor responsibilities include: supervise 8-12 campers; prepare and teach lessons in sustainable agriculture, organic gardening, animal care, natural crafts and cooking. Counselor hours are between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. Camper hours are between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Qualifications: Previous experience working with young children is required. Enthusiasm, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated interest in the environment, sustainable farming and education are a must. Current certifications in standard first aid and community CPR are preferred.
