Storming Robots

Who we are: Storming Robots is a technology learning center based in Branchburg, NJ. It is our mission to bring technology concepts alive through hands on exploration.

Open Positions:

a) one full-time instructor/counselor for our multidisciplinary summer robotics camp.  Campers range from 4th through 6th grade or 6th through 8th grade. 

b) one part-time instructor/counselor for the younger group, 2nd & 3rd graders.

c) one part-time birthday party facilitators.  This is a one of the kind, very unique and interesting type of BP job. 

Our campers are in small groups, which will not exceed 15 kids. Many will be smaller, and groups with 10 or more will have a junior counselor to help out.

Compensation & Opportunities: Paid training is provided. We offer very competitive wage levels depending on experience. There are opportunities for year-round work for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities / Hours:

• Act as camp counselor and instructor to small groups of campers.
• Curriculum is provided, but you must be comfortable adapting it to the pace and ability level of your group. We are always improving our curriculum and welcome your creative input!
• Camp hours are 9-3 or 9-12 and 1-4. Camp begins the last week of June and goes through mid-August.
  

Qualifications:

• You must be energetic and positive. 
• You take pride in your own work.
• You must have experience working with groups of children in an educational setting.
• You must have a passion for technology, as well as education, and believe strongly in "learning by doing."
• Please be comfortable with technology. You don't have to be an engineer, but you do need to be familiar with using computers and science intuition. Individuals with strenghth in math, science (especially physics), and computers as well as teaching experience may be also good candidates for our year-round part time  instructors positions.
• Experienced teachers and students in the process of completing their teaching certification are BIG PLUS.
• Be able to provide professional references upon request.
