Travel for Teens, LLC

Travel For Teens associates meet a profile that is designed to insure a quality experience for our participants, consistent with the Travel For Teens philosophy. We are looking for several bilingual or trilingual Junior Counselors & Staff members for the 2005-2006 season. Our Junior Counselor staff is also our primary source for permanent hires. Junior Counselors should be college students or new graduates who are able and willing to travel for virtually the entire summer and who genuinely love teens. The most important attribute is integrity and an ability to unfailingly model it. We also require at least bilingual competence, and prefer trilingual applicants, providing they meet the other criteria. By competence, we mean not only speaking competence but also written and grammatical competence. Competence in one or more of the following languages is necessary: French, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Portuguese, Czech, Hungarian, German & Dutch. We prefer applicants who have spent time in, and know as intimately as possible, the locations of the trips. Experience working with kids, especially teenagers, and preferably in a camp environment is crucial. Finally, a giving, loving nature balanced with leadership skills and the ability to set limits is vital. The success of our programs depends on communicating to our participants that they are valued and loved. Therefore, the ability to both feel and communicate these attributes is very important. We need flexible associates who play well on a team, who have enormous stamina and who are physically fit. A clear head in unusual circumstances and an ability to change roles quickly are vital. We check references thoroughly and require a personal interview prior to final hires. You will work with seasoned Travel For Teens staff.
