Woodward Camp Philosophy
Camp should, through a positive, sincere, and enthusiastic staff, inspire self-confidence, the love of sport,
and the vision of a fulfilling future for every camper. Camp should also teach real skills, both physical and
mental, which campers take home with them. Camp should honor the uniqueness of each camper, while
encouraging teamwork. Camp must be a wholesome environment in which children can grow emotionally,
make friends for a lifetime, and have the time of their lives through great recreation activities, larger-thanlife
camp culture and tradition, and inspiring role models
