YMCA Camp Kern

Leadership and Hospitality Facilitator GENERAL FUNCTIONS Under the direction of the Conference and Retreats Director in accordance with the Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Code of Excellence and purpose of the Association, the Leadership and Hospitality Facilitator will be responsible for the administration of leadership facilitation and programming, weekend programming, supporting services, and group well-being. The Leadership and Hospitality Facilitator will serve as a member of the YMCA Camp Kern staff team. The Leadership and Hospitality Facilitator staff member will work with the YMCA Camp Kern staff team in order to increase program potential and will have a commitment and responsibility to high quality program operations, customer service, and group well-being. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS The Leadership and Hospitality Facilitator Staff will be required to possess skills appropriate to facilitate assigned activities (i.e. High Course/Low Course Facilitation, Wall Climbing, Canoeing, Archery, etc. Training available.) Creativity, initiative, integrity, flexibility, eagerness to serve, as well as the ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with guests are necessary. This person must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Computer skills are needed. The incumbent will exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of their work with YMCA Camp Kern. A 4-year college degree or applicable experience is required; 4 year degree is preferred.
