Job Description
Program Implementation Responsibilities: • Research, develop, implement the established curriculum, based on the needs of the students’ age level and school-chosen curriculum to align with Ohio testing standards • Teach two to five classes per day • Develop, maintain, and improve program materials and supplies for the betterment of the program • Share in the necessary job responsibilities of the staff team on a rotating basis. (table setting, food waste etc.) • Lead and assist in the leading of daytime and evening recreational programs • Actively participate in staff meetings, staff trainings, and in-service activities • Be a positive and willing member of the camp community • Provide a positive role model for visiting teachers, cabin leaders, students and other YMCA employees • Supervise and assist chaperones and teachers to be positive role models for youth • Participate in any outreach programs or exchanges as necessary for the program operation • Utilize the YMCA Character Values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility to create an open, accepting atmosphere in all camp activities • Report facility, student, leader or teacher concerns to the immediate supervisor as necessary • Demonstrate a commitment to follow the policies of the YMCA Camp Willson and the YMCA of Central OhioJob Criteria
