Job Description
ACCOUNTABILITY: To the Craft Shop Director, Program Director and Camp Directors MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CRAFTS INSTRUCTOR Experience and skill in the field of arts and crafts Experience in teaching children arts and crafts desirable Desirable minimum age 19 GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: To offer instruction and encouragement to children in acquiring skills and satisfaction from creativity with their hands and minds. Inspire interest and impart knowledge to campers in the many different areas of crafts offered Teach specific techniques associated with the various specialties offered Supervise children in the care and maintenance of art supplies and equipment Educate the campers on the safety concerns and hazards associated with particular activities in the craft shop Utilize natural materials found on the campsite to the maximum extent practical Assist units in preparation for Special Event days To assist in the operation and administration of the craft shop and its programsJob Criteria
