Job Description
: The CIT Leader is responsible for, but not limited to, performing the following acts of duty: • Supervise a group of Counselors in Training (16 year olds) • Create, organize, schedule and lead CIT programming • Work with Program Coordinator to schedule CIT’s in activities and duties on a daily basis • Lead offsite overnights/hiking trips • Create and teach leadership skills to CIT’s • Practice and teach the YMCA’s Core values • Provide support to other staff as needed • Lead and supervise campers during designated activity times • Evaluate CIT’s at end of each session • Provide a nurturing and safe environment for CIT’s • Oversee CIT’s safety and personal care Job Qualifications: The CIT Leader shall meet the following minimum requirements: • 21 years of age • Must have or able to obtain Red Cross CPR/First Aid and RTE certifications prior to camp start date • Have experience working in a camp settingJob Criteria
