Job Description
Long Lake Camp for the Arts in the Adirondack Park is looking for a Waterfront Head to come and lead our waterfront this summer, the dates would be June 18 to August 29th. We need a dynamic person who can bring a sense of fun and passion to the position and of course maintain our perfect safety record. Our waterfront is beautiful, with a beach, docks and stunning location. Please see our waterfront page at http://www.longlakecamp.com/summer-camp-waterfront.html We offer swimming, water sports (wakeboarding, tubbing, waterskiing-one and two skis, body board, knee board), sailing with both sunfish, catamarans and larger sail boats. We also go on kayak trips and more. Long Lake Camp is a very unique arts and adventures camp. We offer campers from all over the world the very best in fine arts, circus, magic, rock bands, dance, theater, music and adventures. we have two ski Nautiques at camp. One is an air Nautique, plus many canoe, kayaks, fishing boats and Jet Skis. We teach swimming and all the board sports to both beginners and experienced riders. The ideal candidate will have previous waterfront leadership experience, waterfront lifeguard certification from the Red Cross(we can certify you for the waterfront portion if you only have the lifeguard). If your 1st aid or cpr needs re-certifying we can also offer you that at camp. Any boat driving experience is a big benefit and if you already have your P.V license that is a huge plus. Sailing and Jet Ski experience is also desirable. Our waterfront has 5 or 6 lifeguards and we offer a recreational experience versus a competitive swim program. We are looking for someone to bring us fresh new ideas to invigorate our waterfront and to make sure your staff are safe, fun and doing things they way the owners would like them done. We need someone who is a natural leader and knows how to inspire their staff and campers.Job Criteria
