Job Description
Stone Mountain Adventures is a residential co-ed camp for 12-16 year olds located in central Pennsylvania near PENN STATE UNIVERSITY. We are currently hiring summer camp counselors & specialist instructors. Our adventure activities include: rock climbing, mountain biking, sailing, whitewater rafting, waterskiing, canoeing, caving, wake boarding, windsurfing & horseback riding Our Athletic Activities include: soccer, tennis, ultimate frisbee , basketball, golf, Frisbee golf, touch rugby, softball, flag football, etc. We also do arts studio, music making, service projects and many more. We are currently hiring an Arts Instructor (Pottery, jewelry making, acrylics, etc.) to run our Art Program. Last summer we built a new Art Studio and our art program is on the rise! Art Studio is offered every morning at SMA. The ideal candiate is some one who is passionate about sharing their love of art with teens AND some one who has interest in and experience leading other adventure & sport activities that we offer. Because Art Studio is not offered in the afternoon you will co-lead other activities in the afternoon. During meal times & evening you will share in general camp counselor duties. Applicants should have the following qualifications: -experience working with teens -have a positive outlook on life -be excited about the prospect of getting paid to "play" for the summer - be 21+ years old - have a valid driver’s license Internships Available. All camp counselors/instructors must live at camp. Contracts run from 6/15 to 8/20. First Aid & CPR training included. An in-person interview is required.
