Job Description
SOAR at Eagle View Ranch Summer Camp Head Cook Position Help create the summer experience of a life time for children and young teens at Eagle View Ranch. SOAR (Success Oriented, Achievement Realized) is dedicated to enriching the lives of children and teens ages 11-18 through an adventure based recreational summer camp program that have been diagnosed with ADHD, Asperger’s, and other Learning Differences. Eagle View Ranch is nestled between the Absoraka’s and Wind River Mountain range 8 miles northwest of the town Dubois. The primary duties of the summer camp cook include – Menu planning for up to 75 people Grocery pick up Daily food preparations for groups on base and other groups headed out on an adventure Adhering to budget plan Requirements – Must be 21 years of age and a valid driver’s license Knowledge of food service programs Ability to work extended and/or non-traditional hours on a regular basis An awareness of and a commitment to a healthy and nutritional food service plan Experience working with youth Other expectations include – Being able to lift heavy cases or bags up to 50 lbs. Ability to traverse uneven terrain and steep hills Acting in a professional manner and being a team player Adhering to SOAR’s policies regarding a drug, alcohol, and tobacco free facility The dates of employment are May 20th – August 18th, 2015.
