Job Description
The Head Counselor at Forest Lake Camp maintains the overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of girls’ camp and is the first point of contact for all issues that develop within their camp. Working as part of two-person Head Counselor team, the HC is the key person in creating a safe, comfortable environment, supporting program excellence and the FLC Promise to our campers and our camper families. The HC oversees and manages a 20 + staff in cabin and camp life. Important qualifications include: • Desire and ability to work with children in a camp setting • Ability to relate to one’s peer group while also maintaining strong professionalism • Ability to provide supervision and guidance to counselors • Good time management skills and strong work ethic • Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, self- control • FLEXIBILITYJob Criteria
