    The Summer Camp National Anthem
Summer Camp has begun. Time to create a new national anthem . . . ? ”And the sunlight’s bright glare, the bugs biting in air, Gave proof to the crowd that our camp was still there.” – Summer Camp meets Youth Culture
Anxiety and apprehension chimed in about a new youth culture, branded by iPods and social networking. The summer camp industry had been ambushed by teenage counselors who liked to party online. What were summer camp administrators to do now that the sky had fallen?

    Making Ordinary Moments Extraordinary
At night, after lights out, coverage is a challenge at many camps. The effort to allow staff time off often means leaving one counselor to cover several cabins at night. To Pack or Not to Pack . . . The Cell Phone
Many camp directors are emphatic that cell phones, video games and MP3 players have no place at camp. One Last Thing

    Upper Bunk Homesick Blues
