    Criminal Background Check a Must!
No camp director should avoid performing a criminal background check on their staff or volunteers this season due to time or price. To make sure every camp is able to afford this, we have lowered our price to help camp directors protect themselves and their campers.

    News You Can Use

    Summer Camp Caring Competes
Camps can point to new innovations, like a monster wall climbing and rappelling tower, a new fleet of kayaks and windsurfing boards, a slick archery range, a multi-purpose arts & crafts center . . . But, the first question that parents have in mind is not: ‘will my children have fun?’ but ‘will my children be safe?’ – writes Stephen Winbaum

    E-xcellent Mail
Technology companies deftly set up one-way e-mail systems for camps that allow parents to send daily messages to their kiddos. That’s all well and good, and parents’ e-mails get seamlessly distributed with the regular mail. But when I read some of these e-mail “letters,” I cringe — writes Dr. Christopher Thurber.

    Communicating Effectively? Yeah, Right!
In a world where children are misunderstood and underestimated, falling back on “duh” helps them. When they are bombarded by spin and oversell, their defense is “yeah, right.” When they can’t discern an easy yes or no from among confusing shades of gray, it is comforting to feel that everything is sort of “like” something . . . observes summer camp marketing consultant Steve Cony.

Eras transform music and music transforms eras; camp fires still glow even in the age of iPods. Camp fires can't be downloaded, yet their natural appeal lives on – comments Stephen Winbaum.
