Athena Camps are a new brand of camps specifically designed for girls entering 1st through 5th grade in San Jose, California. Athena Camps are designed to build confidence, expression and connection between girls through sports, play and crafts. Small participant to coach ratios and overall camp size allows for individual skill development, self-expression, and lasting relationships. Sports and Play. Girls will learn, practice and compete in traditional sports and play recreational games. Our goal is to equip girls with the ability to initiate, join in, and play games with others on the playground, as well as thrive on a sports team. All levels, from beginner to advanced, are welcome and treated equally. Crafts. Girls will explore age-appropriate topics such as celebrating individuality, getting along with others, goals, conflict styles, diversity, and taking time to relax. Activities include “How Others See Me,” making team t-shirts, friendship bracelets, potting a plant to symbolize personal growth, and girls' compliment circles.
