DescriptionBack to top

Bluestone Summer Camp has four one week sessions in June and July.  We can accomodate rising 4th Graders through Senior High age campers each week, and there are two half-week camps for rising 3rd Graders.

Camper groups enjoy a variety of traditional camp activities each day...  arts & crafts, sing-a-longs, hiking, creek walks, canoeing, climbing wall, swimming pool time, basketball, volleyball, frisbee, horseshoes, and much more.  Evenings are organized into all camp activities such as field games, skit nights, talent shows, and all-camp campfires.

Our program is progressional.  Younger campers are lodged in Cabins, and older campers camp more rustically in open-air Hogan structures.  Younger campers eat all their meals in our dining hall, and older campers cook two meals each day on a campfire.  High School campers can choose one of our Adventure Bound Trip Camps.

Our program is also an intentional Christian Community. Each day we set aside times for worship, reflection, and in depth study on a particular theme from our chosen Bible curriculum.  In addition to our trained resident staff, we have an excellent volunteer support staff comprised each week of clergy and laity from thoughout the Presbytery of West Virginia.

Together we seek to model Christian Community at its best by living out a relevant faith, and by extending the grace and hospitality of Jesus Christ.
