Camp Akeela is perched on a crystal clear lake in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Camp Akeela is a co-ed, overnight camp in Vermont. Within a well-rounded and traditional program we emphasize the social growth of our campers, many of whom have been diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome or NLD. Akeela is an intentional community that values and celebrates each child and staff member. Campers make life-long friends, develop self-confidence, achieve independence, and leave camp with lasting memories filled with fun and spirit. Within the predictability and structure of the camp program, campers enjoy ample opportunity for choice and specialization.
