Campamento Diabetes Safari
Summer Address:

Campamento Diabetes Safari provides young persons who use insulin injections to control their diabetes, type 1, with a setting that is safe, supervised, and designed to offer them support, education, and recreation. Presence of campers and adult health care professionals who also have diabetes ensures that campers will learn to understand and manage the challenges and experiences that they share as persons with diabetes. Campers increase practical kowledge about self-management of diabetes while the natural beauty of the setting contributes to intellectual, physical, social and spiritual growth. Emphasis on education and self-management in an international, bilingual setting. Medical staff available. 1 staff to each 2 or 3 campers. Not-for-profit.
