1 week - Learn to Sail (Ages 8-17)
This 1 week camp is beginning sailing with an emphasis on learning the basics and feeling comfortable on a sailboat. Using a Sunfish orOptimist youngsters learn sailboat handling, rigging, right-of-way rules, capsize recovery, knot-tying and marine safety. Camp hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuition: $395
1 week Intermediate Sailing (Ages 8-17)
This intermediate Day Camp is intended as a follow up to our beginners Learn-to-Sail program. Sailing a Sunfish, youngsters strengthen basic skills and learn to sail on all points of sail, practicing sailing upwind, downwind, sailing in moderate winds, tacking and jibing, getting out of irons, heeling under control, capsize recovery, sailing nomenclature, weather recognition, knot-tying and more. Tuition: $450
DROP-IN SAILING CAMP-8 WEEKS-(Ages 10-17)
This 8 week camp teaches beginning through advanced sailing. Youngsters can participate all summer, 5 days a week, multiple days a week or just a few hours a day. We use the Cooperative Learning Method in this program; juniors teaching juniors supervised by adult instructors. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tuition is $530-pay one annual fee and sail 8 weeks! (Equates to about $66 per week). Available June 8-26 and July 6-August 7.
