St. Andrew’s School is thrilled to offer an environmental summer day camp at our campus in Middletown, which will focus on working and learning in the education-oriented organic garden, outdoor and indoor activities focusing on plant and soil sciences, ecology, wildlife, biodiversity, habitat, and water systems, and various sustainability issues. At Eco Quest, we teach and value the following principles: * Fun * Science * Exploration * Creativity * Environmental Awareness and Action * Trust, Respect, and Friendship among all who work together * The Rewards of Physical Work * Community and Interdependence * Independence * Self-reliance Camp activities will include: gardening (eating the produce!), hiking, bird watching, creation of a bluebird nesting trail, wildlife and insect observation and study, creating nature art, canoeing, swimming, field trips to sustainable farms, parks, natural history and science museums, and an overnight campout! Activities will include field trips, canoeing, swimming, and hiking. Session 2 Day Camp (ages 8-11), Monday – Friday, July 31 thru August 18, 2006, St. Andrew’s School. 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Fee $200.00, brownbag lunch. An exciting day camp program offering activities in crafts, conservation, animal science, environmental science, and organic gardening. Activities will include field trips, canoeing, swimming, and hiking.
