Even if you have never been to summer camp you know what a great one looks like. A kid kind of place with rustic cabins, a crisp clean lake, fishing poles and campfires. Always campfires. The stuff lasting childhood memories are made of. There are no “do-overs” in childhood; make your campers youth memorable by allowing them to play in the carefree and magical world of camp.
Edwards YMCA Camp has been voted one of the best camps by the Daily Herald Readership in the Chicagoland area. We have reached 14 states and four foreign countries and two U.S. territories. Our unique Honors program has been building character in the youth we serve for over 83 years instilling values driven development into our campers to help them along the path of success and well-roundedness. With a return rate of 62%, Camp Edwards prides ourselves in providing a memorable experience year after year to all of our campers.
Most camps are a great place to allow your camper to grow and mature into independent and confident children. Starting your child off in camp in the earlier stages of their youth, will help develop self confidence, pride, and responsibility. Camp Edwards offers great programming coupled with responsible social interaction guided by our well trained staff to assist your camper making the most of out their time with us. Helping to build important character traits and provide support for all campers to be successful in camp is one of our primary focuses of our staff.
