Elm City ChamberFest was founded in 2005 with the mission of providing an intensive chamber music experience to intermediate and advanced string and piano students from ages 8 - 18. Classes take place in New Haven, CT on the campus of Yale University. Housing in Yale dormitories is available for students that have completed 8th grade. In addition to receiving daily coachings, private lessons and master classes from ECCF faculty, students also receive instruction from internationally renowned guest artists that offer master classes and coachings throughout the two weeks. The program also includes a variety of electives and other classes for students such as music theory, choir, Jazz, Klezmer or Theater Improvisation, Yoga, and Alexander Technique.
