GRCM is a member of the Girls Rock Camp Alliance which is an international group of over 30 camps with a common mission of empowering girls through music. We are non profit organizations that are primarily run by volunteers and funded by fees and fundraising. We strive to offer as many subsidized spots as possible which are sponsored by local organizations. In just 5 days girls with even no musical experience will learn the basics of their instrument, learn to work in a band setting and write orignal songs with their bandmates. At the end of the week they will perform on stage for family and friends. Other topics during camp week include history of women in rock, self confidence, how to use a PA, make your band shirts, and outdoor activities such as soccer.
