Girls Rock Denver nonprofit rock camp for girls
Summer Address:

Girls Rock Denver, a project of the Colorado Nonprofit Development Center and an affiliate of the Girls Rock Camp Alliance, is dedicated to empowering girls and young women through music education, creation, and performance. We are an all-volunteer organization dedicated to providing mentorship and female role models to Colorado's girls. Our volunteers are local musicians, educators, youth advocates, parents, and community members.
Campers may choose to receive instruction in guitar, bass, drums, vocals, or keyboards. Each camp day will begin and end with a group assembly. Campers will also receive 2 hours of instrument instruction, 2 hours of band practice, and participate in 2 workshops per day. Workshop topics include zine writing, band logo design, self-esteem and body image, bullying and assertiveness, stage presence, and the history of women in rock. Each band will have its own coach and manager for the week. No prior musical experience necessary--just a desire to try new things and have fun!!
