Join Helping Hands this summer for our very first Summer Camp!

 

*All sessions will include related arts & crafts projects, outings or field trips, toys, dress-up, and specialized activities.  Sessions with field trips will have extra fees, depending on the outing.

 

 

 

All week sessions are held Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 1:00pm.

Children bring packed lunch

Cost $150 per week or $300 per session (second child in family receives a $20 discount, third child a $30 discount).

$25 registration & supply fee

Ages 2 and up (classes to be divided based on ages of registrants).

Deadline for enrollment in summer camp is April 14th, 2006.

* Please note: Once your Registration Form arrives with your registration/supply fee, you will be called to verify your child’s space in the session.  We ask that payment for each week is made upon the first day of class, however special arrangements made on request.

First session: “Community  Helpers” June 5th – June 16th  

During this two week session, we will be learning and exploring our community helpers.  Each day will have a different type of community helper present to talk with children and demonstrate how they help us. Community helpers to include a Police man, Fireman, Doctor, Nurse, Dentist, Teacher, Bus driver, Post man, and Librarian.

 

Second session: ‘World of Animals” June 19th – June 30th

During this two week session, we will be talking about:

  1. Pets in your home:  A visit from Cannine assistants, a visit from other animals to include a cat, bird, guinea pig, and fish.  Possible outing to a local Petstore.
  2. Animals on the farm:  A local farmer will visit and talk to the children about and demonstrate things from the farm; possible trip to a farm to see farm animals (cow being milked, feeding pigs/chicken).
  3. Animals in the wild:  We will talk about elephants, lions, bears, and all other types of animals in the wild!  Possible trip to the zoo or ostrich farm.
  4. Sea creatures:  We will talk about fish, octopus, and dolphins and arrange to take a trip to the new Georgia Aquarium.

 

Week of July 4th off

 

Third Session:  “Sports Adventure” July 10th – July 21st

During this two week session, we will learn about all kinds of sports and take trips to the park to play soccer, tee ball, kiddy badmitton, and kick ball.  We will learn about tumbling with a possible visit from the Tumblebus.  Kids will enjoy sprinkler fun and a water balloon toss as well as learning how to make their own ice cream, caramel corn, and cotton candy.  We will take a visit to burn some energy at the Jumpzone!

 

Fourth Session:  “Parade/Carnival Fun” July 24th – August 4th

During this two week session, children will make their own parade floats for our very own parade which will be held our last day of camp for parents & guests.  We will have face painting and dress up like clowns.  Children will get to participate in carnival games of a ring toss, bean bag toss, go fish, and squirt toy fun!  Possible outing to a local pony farm.
