Each topic will be taught using Lego and Mindstorms sets, allowing the students to take the lessons into their own hands. Lego and Mindstorms are the perfect educational medium, combining creativity with science and making learning an adventure, not a requirement.
Using Lego, the possibilities are literally limitless. Student groups of 3-5 will each work with a Mindstorms set, in addition to thousands of Lego parts. The project-oriented format of the camp is ideal for open ended learning. Exciting projects with broad ranging goals will be given,including building the strongest
bridge or most efficient robot within a given amount of time. This allows students to use their problem solving abilities and go anywhere their imaginations lead them. These daily technological odysseys will result in hands on, minds on learning that is both fun and educational.
