NYU Steinhardt Music and Performing Arts
The Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions at NYU Steinhardt offers a wealth of courses and special programs for pre-college and undergraduate students throughout the summer in the areas of music performance, composition, music theatre, acting, music technology, and music business.
Offerings include one to three-week performance intensives for advanced high school and college student performers:

- Wind Quintet and Woodwind Chamber Music Workshop (June 22-28, 2008)
- Summer on Broadway: Music Theatre Workshop, a three-week intensive for pre-college and college-level performers (June 30-July 18, 2008)
- What Makes a Star: Music Business Summer Institute for high school students (July 7-11, 2008)
- Summer Institute in Music Technology, a two-week workshop for high school students who wish to learn the fundamentals of music technology (July 14-25, 2008)
- Looking for Shakespeare, an opportunity for high school students to work with a professional director and NYU Steinhardt graduate students to stage an original Shakespeare production (June 30-July 27, 2008)
