Receive intensive training by Broadway and industry professionals in a 7 day musical theater academy that focuses on the three components of musical theater- acting, singing, and dancing. COLLEGE CREDIT is granted upon completion of this 1 week academy! The Palace Theatre is proud to partner with Chester College of New England to present this premier Musical Theater Intensive. This pre-professional program focuses on the essence of the �triple threat�. Under the guidance of industry professionals, students will take daily classes in voice, acting, dance, audition technique, vocal performance, scene study and more! Students will have the honor of meeting one Broadway or industry SPECIAL GUEST during their stay. This guest will provide an intensive specialty workshop. Evenings will include special events, trips to professional shows and rehearsals. Students will also enjoy supervised, recreational use of the college campus. The week will end with a showcase performance onstage at the historic Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH. www.palacetheatre.org All classes are taught by industry professionals. At the end of the week, campers will have the opportunity to perform on the historic Palace Theatre stage, home to Broadway professionals and performing legends from all over the world! ACTING- Classes include Scene Study, Improvisation, Theater Games, Intro to Acting methods (Stella Adler, Stanford Meisner, Lee Strasberg, Brecht, Stanislavsky, and Suzuki), The Business of Acting and more! VOICE- Classes include Vocal Technique, Song Performance, Musical Scene Study and Audition Technique: How to choose the best song for you. How to select the best 16 bars and much more! DANCE- Levels will vary from beginner � advanced. Classes will encompass all styles of Broadway Musical Theatre Dance including Ballet, Jazz, Tap!
