Recess Recreational After School Program is an after school program in place for school aged children in the Mount Pearl and Paradise school zones.

Children registered with our program are greeted at their schools by our staff and transported to our program at the end of each school day.

Our mission is to provide a safe and stimulating environment for school aged children to enjoy a variety of recreation activities with their peers.  We take part in a vast variety of activities on a weekly basis icluding; computer literacy, swimming, arts and crafts, soccer, bowling, reading, dodge ball, basketball, board games, physical activity, outside play, and much more.  We have even given children an introduction to self defence and gymnastics.

Transportation from school to our scheduled activities,  a snack and beverages are provided daily.

Our staff have been screened by both the local police, and through reference checks to ensure a safe and positive influence for all children registered.  They have completed child safe first aid, and receive ongoing training on how to provide the best possible enviroment and care for school aged children.

We operate during the regular school year from September to June.  Our hours of operation are from school closure (2:30pm - 3:00, depending on the school which the registered children attend) to 6:00pm Monday to Friday.

Our rates include all activities, snacks, and transportatin.  We are proud to say that we offer the best variety of recreation activities for the lowest price possible.

We have been in operation for two years and are planning to expand our program to become available to a greater number of youth in the near future.  Recess Recreational After School Program currently has thirty four children registered, and we hold a waiting list for clients whom are  interested in registering for the upcoming school year.

We recommend that if you wish to register a child into our program that you do so as soon as possible as placements are limited.
