Sesame/Rockwood Camps offers a variety of exciting opportunities at Sesame Day Camp, for campers ages 3 to 7 and at Camp Rockwood, for campers ages 8 to 14. Accredited by The American Camp Association, Sesame/Rockwood Camps maintains a long tradition of quality facilities, caring and knowledgeable staff, and outstanding programs...all working together toward an environment where kids have fun being kids. For a child, summer camp should be a summer home, a place to really feel comfortable. For over 50 years Sesame Day Camp has been that summer home for children ages 3 to 7. We carefully compose groups, "bunks" as we call them, so that every camper gets lots of attention and watchful supervision. In sports, our youngest campers improve their physical skills because we keep the facilities and equipment age-appropriate. At the arts, each specialist knows how to bring out the creative best in each camper. We stress swimming with a unique program called T.E.A.M. Swim - Teaching Excellence in Aquatic Methods. Before they know it, their years at Sesame Day Camp have prepared them to move on! But, luckily for parents...they move on without any need to move out! For kids 8 to 14, the fun gets bigger at Camp Rockwood. It's the same familiar place, but everything just seems a little more grown-up. We help youngsters reach their fullest potential and realize their own capabilities while continuing activities in the arts, sports, swimming and the out-of-doors. At Camp Rockwood, everyone keeps trying new, more challenging activities. That's what keeps them coming back...one fun year after another fun year after another.
