St. John's Summer Day Camp "Love to Serve"

This summer, St. John’s is launching a new “Summer Day Camp” program.  All the elements of a traditional summer camp will be offered right here at St. John’s the week of July 27-31.  Children currently in 1–5th grade are invited.  Counselors from Lutheridge will lead five days of fun, worship, games, Bible study, fellowship, crafts, sharing and prayer. Day Camp introduces the Christian camping experience to children without them having to stay overnight away from home.  Day Camp runs 9am-4pm, but St. John’s plans to offer before care (8-9am) and after care (4-6pm) to help parents with their work schedules. St. John’s is only charging $50 per child for the entire week, but our actual cost is $135 per child.  If you are able to pay the full cost or more than the basic fee, those additional funds will be used to help provide scholarships for those with serious financial needs. This is an outreach opportunity and we expect to have at least 50% of the campers from outside our congregation.
