The Story School is home to all campers who love stories, adventure, and being their true self. A nonprofit overnight camp located in beautiful Charlton MA , The Story School uses the power of immersive, interactive, and inclusive LARP stories to transform campers into heroes all summer long. Using theatrical props, sound, lighting, and the beautiful natural scenery on hundreds of acres of Prindle Pond, Story School transports our heroes to a world of imagination that reacts to their choices.

Our 2024 Season runs from June 30th - August 16th and hosts seven weeks of camp including a special week for both younger first-time overnight campers and older teen campers looking for a unique experience. Sign up for Camp FABLE (open to heroes aged 8 - 17) to battle monsters and mayhem from history, mythology, and literature. Using curiosity-driven learning, our campers solve puzzles woven into the story, forge friendships through foam sword battles, and save the world by being the hero they always wanted to be. Older campers can sign up for Camp Grimoire, a curated teen-only camp for ages 14 - 18, where the puzzles are more challenging, the monsters are terrifying, and the consequences are dire! Our older campers can also apply to be Counselors-in-Training and help bring the world to life for other heroes. No matter how they choose to experience The Story School, our campers will find an unforgettable story that reacts to their choices and makes sure they know they have the power to change the world.

During a typical day, campers split into their chosen adventuring parties solving interactive STEM puzzles, encountering immersive escape rooms, battling our trained monsters, and leveling their game characters using real-world knowledge of science, physics, chemistry, and first aid. In the evenings, our campers relax with board games, armor-crafting, storytelling, s'more roasting, and other camp bonding activities. The Story School values community and camper-focused service and is proud to host a population that includes neuro-diverse and LBGTQ+ campers. Families that have participated in The Story School know their camper will feel safe, learn, and return a more confident version of themselves.

Let your hero experience a summer filled with adventure that they will never forget alongside friends they never knew they had.
