Attention Bay Area Teens: Wanna Learn How To Make a Movie? Spend the summer learning how to shoot and edit your own film or video. Overview Film Camp puts you in collaboration with a small group of other aspiring filmmakers to take on the roles of a real film production crew. You will learn the all basics of video production from pre-production, to scriptwriting, from filming to editing. Finally, you will put your newfound skills to the test and work together to create a short film. This all happens in three intense weeks of Film Boot Camp, with 4-hour workshops, 4 days a week. 2011 Summer Camp Session Dates: Session I: July 5-July 23 Monday-Thursday 1PM-5PM Session II: July 26-August 13 Monday-Thursday 1PM-5PM Who can come? Anyone aged 13-19 is welcome at Film Camp. No prior filmmaking experience is necessary. What is the Cost? $750.00/student includes hands-on training with professional, award-winning instructors, use of video and editing equipment, a final DVD, and screening hosted by the Ninth Street Independent Film Center. (Limited scholarships for low-income households). Who are the instructors? Film Camp instructors know their stuff. They are all award-winning, media and filmmaking industry professionals with lots of experience working with young people. How do I register ?
