DescriptionBack to top

The Educational Farm at Joppa Hill summer camp is a wonderful place for kids to enjoy open, undeveloped space for learning and fun. The Educational Farm at Joppa Hill offers summer camp for kids ages 4-11 from June 27-August 19. Camp for 2011 offers a revised curriculum and lower prices. Camp is offered for half days for those ages 4 &5 and full days for those ages 6-11. Children ages 4 & 5 will go on an outdoor adventure exploring the farm each day, will get to learn about where their food comes from, learn about our farm animals and vegetables in the garden. There will also be crafts and hiking through the fields and forests. Children ages 6-11 will be grouped by age and will learn how to care for and interact with our animals, walk through forest trails, investigate pond life, make bird houses and learn about surrounding nature. They will explore the gardens, spin wool and end their day with water play. Full day camp curriculum alternates by week.
Our summer camps provide children with a unique, memorable and educational experience at a working farm. In our increasingly harried and technology driven lives, this camp offers kids a chance to slow down, enjoy and connect with animals and nature in a fun and leisurely pace.
