Our Fiji trips offer a truly unique experience. World Horizons has a special relationship with the village and tribal chief of Nokoro Kula. You will live in the coastal village at the northernmost point of the beautiful island of Viti Levu, at the personal invitation of the Chief. Experience life in a simple, tribal village and know that your efforts will be enthusiastically received.

Working under the direction of the Chief and the Senior Education Officer for the Rakiraki Region, you will teach children's activities such as sports, dancing and singing. You may also be involved with the continuing expansion of the village community hall and teaching in the local schools. Opportunities for cultural exchange on this trip are endless.

Free time will be spent visiting some of the local sites and picturesque areas of Fiji. Weekend trips may include a visit to the capital city of Suva, exploring the small offshore islands, snorkeling and a visit to one of the many resorts around the island.

"My journey to Nokoro Kula village will always be remembered as one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences of my life. We were embraced fully into the Fijian lifestyle by each person we encountered, and, as a result, our cultural immersion was most profound. My fellow travelers and our group leaders were among the most amazing people I have ever had the privilege to know, and these friends are sure to last a lifetime. ...I would go back to Fiji in a heartbeat." -- Kelly Gleischman, California
