Camps (Ages 3 to 18): For students who wish to enjoy Bach to Rock’s programs in a concentrated period of fun and education, we offer week long summer/winter/spring break camps. Students are placed in bands at the beginning of the week, taught basic arrangements, and introduced to the recording studio, where they record and mix a song. These programs are designed to supplement the Bach to Rock experience or to catalyze the interest of students uncertain about committing to regular lessons. There are five types of camps to choose from:
Rock Band
Half Day Camp – 9 am to 12:30 pm AND 12:30 pm to 4 pm (ages 7 – 18)
- Learn to play in a Band using simplified Arrangements of Pop/Rock Songs
- Record a CD in the studio
- Perform a live concert for your friends and family
Full Day Camp – 9 am to 4 pm (ages 7 – 18)
- All aspects of the half day camp plus:
- Learn about Music History, Music Theory, Performing, Recording
- Activities change every week, so enroll for multiple weeks
Rock City World Tour
Half Day Camp for Potty Trained Preschoolers through 1st grade ‐‐9:30 am to 12:30 pm
- Uses some Rock City class material and adds a World Music focus
- Discover live instruments (drums, guitar, piano, didgeridoo, etc) hands‐on!
- Experience rhythm through movement and sound games – precurser to music reading
- Listen to great music from around the world – African, Australian, South American music, plus Pop, Rock, and
- Classical – develop active listening skills!
B2R Glee Camp
Half Day Camp (Ages 7-18) – 9 am to 12:30 pm
- Learn proper singing techniques
- Choreograph song(s) along with the teacher
- Record a CD & perform a live show
Recording Arts: Pro Tools & Music Production Camp
Half Day Camp (Ages 9-18) – 9 am to 12:30 pm OR 12:30 pm to 4 pm
- Learn to run a recording session
- Record bands as they record a CD
- Create your own music and beats
Beat Refinery Camp
Half Day Camp (Ages 10-18) – 9 am to 12:30 pm OR 12:30 pm to 4 pm
- Learn the basics of being a DJ
- The camp covers most of the DJ Mixing level 1 curriculum
- Create a short set and perform for the crowd before the Rock Bands play at the end of the week.
- Students will perform between bands at the Friday concert.
