CBF Student Leadership Summer Expeditions

Come join the Chesapeake Bay Foundation this summer for a week of exploring some of the most beautiful places around our region. We use canoes, Chesapeake Bay workboats, water quality tests, and fishing nets to investigate the rivers and wildlife around us. You and your fellow teens will have fun building leadership skills and learning how to advocate and take action for clean water, land, and air! These multi-day, overnight experiences are open to rising 9th-12th graders who are interested in learning about our Bay's ecosystems and taking action to save the Bay through service learning. Expeditions primarily take place outdoors where participants explore different parts of the watershed and engage with CBF staff, field experts, and scientists. All transportation, lodging, and meals are provided during the expeditions. Overnight accommodations may include camping (tents provided), dorm-style housing, or a combination of the two.

Cost: Generous support from CBF donors and grants allow us to offer our weeklong expeditions for $500. The actual cost to run these courses is more than $2000 per participant. Financial assistance is available. Register Today!
