Echoing Air runs a summer program for advanced high school and early college students at First Presbyterian Church in Daytona Beach called "Exploring Vocal Arts.” Our program will run for a week, June 13-19. Exploring Vocal Arts provides a chamber music experience for young solo singers as well as daily voice lessons and artistic coaching on early repertoire, primarily of Renaissance and Baroque periods. Students will have the opportunity to sing with a harpsichord, recorders, and viola da gamba. The singers will also perform in concert with with Echoing Air at the end of the session. The repertoire we will be exploring is appropriate for district and state solo and ensemble competitions and for college students preparing junior and senior recitals. Repertoire may include the works of John Dowland, Thomas Campion, Henry Purcell, George Frederic Handel, Antonio Caldara, Alessandro Scarlatti, and others. Tuition for the course is $500.
