Job Description

Minimum 18 years of age. Must have the desire to work with people with disabilities, experience in recreational camp setting a plus. Should also be capable of lifting, pivoting and transferring a 40 50 pound person safely with assistance. Needs to be able to provide personal care and a positive behavioral supports for persons with disabilities. Will assist campers in activity areas as well as daily living activities with the support of activity staff, cabin captains and head counselor. Rocky Mountain Village employs 65 seasonal staff members each summer from all over America and the globe. This includes (2) full-time Registered Nurses, Activity Specialists, Maintenance Crew, Kitchen Crew, Counselors and Counselors in Training (CITs). These are live in positions and include a weekly salary, room and board. All staff must pass two background checks, as well as sign a Mandatory Disclosure Statement to ensure the safety of our campers. In addition, counselors may earn college credits through Metro State University for their summer camp service.
