Broaden your daughter's horizons and help her discover what friendship is all about at one of many Girl Scout summer camps located throughout the United States.

Build a team. Girl Scout camp is about founding life-long friendships and learning how to work well together in a group. Whether your daughter is coordinating a new dance routine with the rest of the troop or developing a strategy to climb up a rope course, scouts will learn to creatively problem-solve and work together cohesively.

Take action. Watch your child as she explores new ideas and takes risks in a safe environment. Girl Scout camps offer opportunities to learn how to master a backstroke in the pool, improve soccer or basketball skills, and ride a horse for the first time. Challenge courses will help her face the fear of heights, and zip lining will get her adrenaline pumping. Campers will learn how to start a camp fire with kindling and hike through the wilderness to discover new kinds of flora and fauna. Whether she's discovering how to cook in the great outdoors or pitch a tent, a Girl Scout summer camp will provide leadership and survival skills that will benefit her for years to come.

Make the world better. Encourage your daughter to become a better citizen through activities like selling arts and crafts for charity or collecting cans to give to the local soup kitchen. Is your child interested in putting on a theater performance at a senior citizen home, or perhaps joining one of the walks to help cure cancer? Campers will discover their passions and think about the best way to pursue them. Whether she chooses to work with animals or do something for her neighbor, Girl Scout camps will encourage the good Samaritan in your child, along with an adventurous and friendly spirit.
