Rancho Cucamonga, which is close to the San Gabriel mountain range, is known as a world class community and is constantly ranked as one of the best neighborhoods to live in. There are over 20 parks for playing, hiking, or even a sunny day picnic. This modern city also offers top-rate cultural experiences and opportunities for your children to take part in. Family-friendly outdoor adventures abound, as well as indoor summer camps that will keep your kids fit and having fun. See our online directory to find a summer camp in Rancho Cucamonga that will be perfect for your child.

Pump it up at My Gym Children's Fitness Center and teach your children the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Classes are structured to be safe, age-appropriate, and to build self-esteem. Little Bundles, or ages 6 weeks-6 months, do baby exercises, move to music, and listen to songs with their parents. Cardio Kids, ages 7-10, learn strength and endurance, so that they can combat childhood obesity. There are also many other classes for the ages in between and you can try any class for free! If your child chooses to enroll in a class, then they get one extra hour of free play once a week. Parents are welcome to join on these all ages, free play days.

Let loose at Scandia Amusement Park, in neighboring Ontario, and give the kids a fun-filled day after a morning camp or on a day off. Fast and thrilling rides like the Swedish Swing, Scandia Screamer, and Cliff Jumper are meant for the older kids, while Lapland Landslide, Denmark Railway, and Little Dipper Coaster keep things tame for the little ones. The mini golf course goes through lush gardens, streams, and waterfalls, so you get to see some views while you compete with the family. Batting cages also provide practice or some good old fashioned fun for the athletes in your family.

Take advantage of one of the many parks of Rancho Cucamonga by spending an afternoon at Etiwanda Creek Community and Dog Park. Picnic tables and barbecues are available for a DIY lunch and there's a playground for the kids to play on while you get the food ready. The fenced dog park area has separate parts for large and small dogs, water for the canines, and lots of shade. Conclude your time in the city with a game of football or soccer on the lighted fields until the sun goes down.
