The SEA Lab is a free hands-on marine science education center offering daily, touch tank tours and low-cost field trips for inner city schools. During the summer they offer marine life conservation camps, for ages 4 to 11, for who want to interact with sea stars, bat rays, leopard sharks, and sea urchins rescued from nearby power plants. Swim your heart out in the saltwater Seaside Lagoon. As a large and safe lagoon on the harbor, it’s the perfect spot for kids to play in the water without worrying about waves or tides. Build a sandcastle in the sand then take a break for a family picnic in the grassy area.
Immerse yourself in ocean life at SEA Lab, a free hands-on marine science education center. Be sure to take a guided touch tank tour and, on Saturdays, help feed the fish in the tide pool tank. The center offers low-cost field trips for inner city schools and summer camps for kids 4 to 11 who want to interact with sea stars, bat rays, leopard sharks, and sea urchins.
