Leap into action this summer in Fairfield, New Jersey. Climb the walls at New Jersey Rock Gym, play some extreme golf at Dynamite Falls, or get fit at Funtime Junction.
Chalk up your hands and get ready for a hands-on experience at New Jersey Rock Gym. Your kids will enjoy grappling the rock climbing walls and making it to the top like a champ. Depending on what the family is looking for, day-long experiences and long-term classes are both available. Younger ones can get the lay of the land with the youth climbing program or kids climb, and teenagers can work on earning their belay certification. Summer camps also offer climbing and sports programs for kids interested in sports like volleyball, kickball, or badminton, just to name a few.
Improve your golfing skills at Dynamite Falls. This adventure-packed mini-golf park offers all kinds of family fun. Walk through caves and river holes as you and your kids putt an 18-hole golf course. Once your family has swung that perfect hole-in-one, check out the mining adventure, where your children can pan for fossils and gemstones like a true scientist working in the field. Your kids will enjoy using their bag of mining ore to filter newfound gemstones through a mining screen. Once they finish their search, they'll learn all about the jewels they unearthed. Children three and under enter the park free.
Get in shape the playful way at Funtime Junction. You'll be sure to awaken the little gymnast in your children as they scale the huge indoor jungle gym at their disposal. Zoom down one of the red-barreled slides or hop on the beach ball color bouncy mats. Shoot a friendly game of basketball and see how many tickets you can win for a grand prize. Child-sized amusement park rides and other arcade games will be sure to send this spot over the top. Parents enter for free.
