Utah's natural wonders and on-going, dynamic activities can keep you busy for days. This state is a land made to be explored, whether through hiking its majestic national and state parks, digging up fossils at museums, or celebrating the arts. Once you've delved into the adventure of this state, you'll never want to leave.

Immerse yourself in nature at its finest and check out any of the five national parks in Utah. Zion National Park is the oldest and best-known for its colorful, impressive canyons that offer hours of hiking for all abilities. Check out one of the youth programs offered daily with hands-on learning activities for kids. For a unique family photo opt, head to Arches National Park, where the rock formations in the red desert look like nothing else from this world. Utah also contains more than 40 state parks, including Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park where you can go for a wild ATV ride, so try to see as many as you can!

Go extreme with your little ones at the Natural History Museum of Utah, where the Extreme Mammals exhibit features details about the biggest and smallest creatures ever to walk the Earth. Massive skeletons and fossils loom overhead, and kids can crawl inside the armor of an extinct relative of the armadillo. Then, over at St. George's Dinosaur Discovery Site, walk where the dinosaurs once roamed and get a close look at fossilized dinosaur footprints. Children can even put on "dinosaur feet" and make their own tracks in the dino sandbox.

Enjoy all kinds of activities at the Utah Art Festival, kicking off with a brunch and live entertainment. The galleries show work from emerging local artists as well as well-established artists. Your kids can cover themselves in every color of the rainbow at the Color Me Rad 5k, a run partnered with the arts festival. If you're not around in time for the festival, then go marvel at the 117 feet tall Olympic Cauldron from the 2002 Olympic Games.
