The city of Lake Forest stays true to its name with two man-made lakes and forests of eucalyptus trees surrounding it. There are 29 parks to play with the kids at and even, Orange County's largest free skate park, for the skater boys and girls. Be sure and come by for their 4th of July parade, complete with a pancake breakfast and 5k run! Lake Forest also offers a special needs program to support families and allowing them to participate in recreational and cultural programs. Take a look at our online directory for Lake Forest and find a summer camp for your child.

Let your kids frolic through the "tide pool" at El Toro Park, where the water feature runs over imitation tide pools and ends in the sand for beach-like fun. There's a nautical theme to the park, lots of swings, and it's small enough that you can watch the kids easily and keep them safe. There's also adult exercise equipment so the parents can get a workout in, while the kids have their own fun! There is also a nearby bridge and creek for exploring and splashing around with parent supervision.

Meet the caring staff of aMAYZing Kids, who provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy for kids who need special care. The clinic has 7,500 square feet of treatment rooms, therapy gyms, and a child-friendly waiting room. It was started to honor Hailey Mayz, who was born with stomach problems, but learned to crawl, eat, walk, and had lots of fun playing through her therapy.

Escape the urban Orange County life and head to Serrano Creek Ranch Equestrian Center; a home for you and your horse. The kids can take riding lessons with Silver Stirrup Academy, whose two hour lessons are meant to be the best around and build character, show respect for animals, and get the kids some exercise. Outside of the stables, there are short and long trails for you and the family to take. Serrano Creek Park has a nice hour ride through meandering trails and woods. For more experienced riders, Limestone/Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park has a massive amount of trails for a heftier ride.
