Get active both body and mind this summer in Irving, Texas. Curl up with a book at Valley Ranch Library, get creative at the Irving Arts Center, or tumble around the Lively Pointe Youth Center.

Enhance your child's knowledge at the Valley Ranch Library. Story times are available from babies on up. Elevate their science skills with STEM classes for children ages 4-6, or enjoy lively puppet theaters and arts and crafts activities for preschoolers. Don't forget about the monthly family movie showings and American Sign Language classes as well! Revel in the themed story times, play and learn together at Toddler Time, or jump into academia at the art and math classes offered throughout the week.

Tune kids into their artistic side at the Irving Arts Center. With family fun days meant to bring the entire crew together, you can enjoy making arts and crafts as a unit. Your kids will love to make art based off of a lively story reading, or take part in the magic and puppetry shows they offer. Children can participate in summer art adventure camps that bring creativity to kids ages 4-18 with an interest in art, theater, and music.

Get active with your children at the Lively Pointe Youth Center. This facility offers all kinds of activities for the gymnast in your little one. Kids can stretch out their legs in the expansive gymnasium, put on a show in the theater room, make something artsy in the craft room, or go for a swim at the Lively Park Pool. Teenagers will be sure to enjoy the skate park, complete with shaded structures and a water fountain. With a fitness center for the parents and even WiFi hotspots, this is sure to be a good family get away for the day.
